Best Student Credit Cards
by: Tom Tessin

The question you may be asking yourself when applying for a student credit card is, “What is the best student credit card?” You will soon find that there is more than just one credit card that you can apply for. Each credit card offers a variety of rewards, bonuses, and more.

We took our stats from the past two months and compiled the best student credit cards and listed them below. We took the top three cards and wrote up a little description on why these tend to be very popular cards.

Citi® Platinum Select® Card for College Students

This Citi credit card was our number one credit card in our stat book. This credit card tends to be a favorite because of the rewards it offers. It offers a reward point for every dollar you spend. From there, you will be able to spend those reward points and cash them in for gift cards at popular stores or you can also buy products such as radios, tvs, and more.

Citi® Bronze® / AAdvantage® Card for College Students

This Citi credit card was different then the others. The main focus on this card is that there is no minimum income or co-signer required. This is nice for a college student looking to get a credit card but he/she doesn’t have a job yet because of schooling. This card has a very high approval rate but it starts you off at a very low credit limit. The plus side is that the credit limit can be increased over time with disciplined spending.

Citi® Driver's Edge® Card for College Students

As you can see, the top three credit cards are Citibank cards. The reason is that Citibank offers a variety of credit cards designed for students. This credit card focuses more on a driving college student. This is a nice card if you’re constantly on the road or you are looking to redeem your points toward gas and car repairs.

Now that you’ve seen what the best student credit cards are on our website, this doesn’t mean it’s going to be the best credit card for you. Be sure that you browse around our exclusive credit card list and find what credit card best suits you. Remember that each bank issuers has different policies regarding their credit card. Each credit card will also vary when it comes down to the APR rate.

The nice thing about credit cards is that you’re able to pick and choose what card you want to apply for. Don’t forget that you’re able to apply for more than one credit card. Just don’t take it too far. The more credit cards you have, the better the chances are of getting a credit card in the future.
