Start making money – Blogging is a great way to start making money.  There are endless ways to throw up ads, and earn money while you’re doing it.  From programs such as Google Adsense, and FlexOffers, it’s a piece of pie to find the program you want to promote.

Network with others – Depending on what niche you get into, the Internet is a great way to network with people.  Just like in real life, networks are always great to have, whether you want advice, a job lead, or anything else.

Learn as your blog - I find that blogging teaches me so much that I didn’t know in the first place.  For example, if you wrote a blog on Cats, by the end of the year, you’ll probably know so much about cats, you’ll be the biggest expert on your blog, just by writing articles!

Great for a resume - Employers love it when potential employees have great hobbies such as writing, etc.  Show them your work, and show them the audience that you have built up.

Keeps you busy – If you start making money with your blog, you’re going to find that it’s going to become quite addicting.  This is a great way to keep your motivated, and busy at the same time.

Gives you experience - With blogging, you can almost treat it like a business.  You’re going to promote, and market it to others.  You can then take these same skills, and apply them toward the real world.

Can be a career - Many people don’t think of blogging as a career, but it could quickly turn into one.  If you get a big enough audience, and you know how to make money, it can definitely happen!
