A lot of students once they graduate high school have plans for college.  Although, a lot of those college students either give up right away, or end up taking a “year” off and never end up going back again.  College is a great thing because it helps you develop a lot of skills, and it will give a much better chance at finding a job.  Although a lot of college students may “quit”, they find themselves returning to college.  What is the reasoning in this?

Can’t land a job - A lot of people that don’t have a college degree find it hard to land a good job.  Therefore, one of there only options is to return to college to get a degree in a field that is in demand.

Higher pay – There are a lot of jobs out there that pay low wages and/or minimum wage.  Unfortunately a lot of those jobs are the ones that don’t involve a college degree.  If you’re looking for some great paychecks at the end of the week, you may need to consider college once again or consider creating your own business.

Interest - College is a great thing because you have the opportunity to learn about anything that interests you.  Therefore college can be a great way to learn about a lot things, and can be thought of a hobby that keeps the mind healthy.

Fulfill goals – Once we quit college we get that feeling that we’ve given up on ourselves.  That isn’t the best feeling so a lot of us go back to fulfill those goals. We don’t want to be a quitter, but prove to ourselves that we can do it.

Family – A lot of us find that we have a family that we need to take care of.  Therefore it is important to be serious about having a good job.  Not to mention, we need a good paying job to keep food on the table.  Going back to college may help make that possible.

A lot of college students find that they will return to college.  As you can see from above, there are many reasons for doing that.  Don’t give up on your dreams, but instead fulfill them and prove to yourself that you can have a great future.
