We are all aware that there should be some changes to help save the environment.  Although before we can get started to help the environment, we must first know how we can help out.  A good way to determine this is by looking at your daily lifestyle.  How much water do you use on a daily basis, do you recycle recyclable products and how often do you drive?  The list goes on, but these are the major things to keep in mind.

When away at college it may seem like it’s impossible to recycle, but there are still ways.  Contact one of the managers or professors and simply ask if they know of any recycling systems for the school.  Often schools have professors that will take recyclable papers, magazines and any recyclable products and take them to a recycling bin.

There are many products that should be recycled when in college.  Not sure what those items are?  Continue to read below to find out!

- Pop cans
- Pop bottles
- Water bottles (any bottles really)
- Paper
- Magazines
- Newspapers
- Batteries
- Cardboard
- Phonebooks
- Cartons
(Juice, milk, etc.)
- Glass
- Steel
- Aluminum cans
- Plastic bags
- Plastic containers

If you’re really looking to help save the environment, be sure to consider these recyclable products listed above.  Just because you’re one person doesn’t mean you can’t make a difference.  If everyone were to follow these steps our earth would be in great shape.

Also, simple adjustments in your daily life can also help the environment.  Whether you start carpooling to school, walking, start taking shorter showers, or just recycle in general, you can help save the environment.  It is very important that you start to make changes in your daily lifestyle.  Once you do, they will become a habit and you’ll simply get into the routine of helping out the environment regularly.
