Today many students aren’t getting enough exercise.  Students are often busy with school work, going to class, and working a job.  With such a busy schedule there is little time left to exercise and relax.  There are many ways students can get exercise without even realizing it.  Exercise does not have to be a chore or boring, make it fun and stay healthy at the same time.  Consider some of the tips below and find yourself staying healthy and having fun.

Park farther away from class.  These few steps everyday will eventually turn into miles by the end of the semester.   If it’s a nice day or if you drive with a friend it makes it that much more enjoyable!

Create a time and place.  Get some of your best friends together and find a sport you are all interested in.  Then find a day that would work best for all of you to play a game.  This is a great way to spend time with friends, have fun and get some exercise!

Play Wii fit.  Everyone loves to play video games so what’s better than getting a work out while playing them?  The Wii fit is great because it gives you a weight loss plan, is fun to play and will get you into tip top shape!

Find a walking buddy.  Get one of your good friends to go walking with you.  This is great because you guys can hang out, catch up on life, and take a break from school while getting a workout!  Whether you’re walking around the mall, campus or up town they are all great for a workout.

Make your backpack heavier.  If your backpack isn’t heavy as it is throw in a few books.  Obviously you’re not going to want to make your backpack too heavy to where you could hurt your back, but just maybe one or two books to add a little weight.  This is great because you will be burning a ton more calories when walking.  This is great for strength and cardio.

As you can see there are many ways to add some exercise into your day.  As a college student you need exercise to not only stay healthy but to reduce stress.  There is a lot of stress involved with college and exercise is a great way to help reduce it.  Stay active, have fun, hang out with friends and watch yourself become a healthier and happier person!
