Vector Marketing: Should You Trust Them?
posted by FindCollegeCards.com
I remember going throughout High School and College getting letters in the mail all the time from a company called, “Vector Marketing.” They would claim that I could make more than $10 hour, but they really didn’t go into details. While the letter was quite vague, they wanted you to show up for a meeting to learn more about it.
While I didn’t show up to learn about the situation, I had some desperate friends that would do anything to make a buck. After reading the reviews online, I had found that Vector Marketing really wasn’t a scam, but just another job.
How does Vector Marketing work?
This is another sales job. What you’re going to do is basically sell kitchen knives through the Cutco Cutlery company. They are going to charge you for your demo kit.
When you get this demo kit, you’re going to learn the basics on how to sell to people. You will show them how sharp they are, how they last forever, and how they are going to work in your kitchen.
You job now is to go out there and sell them. You’re going to do everything from harass your friends to telling your family members. While many of them will just shoo you away, you’re going to find that your only option is to go door to door, and trust me, this isn’t fun!
For every sale that you make, you’re going to get a cut. Like many sales jobs, you’re going to get a certain percentage as you work your way up the ladder.
What people don’t like about this job is that you have to pay close to $100 to start out. I don’t like a job, where you have to pay to start. The other downfall is that 99% of the people out there isn’t going to let some stranger come in with a pair of knives. Now think of it? Are you going to let someone in if this happened to you?
Overall, this is a typical sales company. If you’re not into sales jobs, I would steer clear of this one. If you think you can land the job and do well, you can head to their site at Vector Marketing.
I would also advise that you look into great detailed reviews here and here.
