Are you a concerned parent that is worried about paying for your child’s college career? Are you a student that’s worried that you won’t have enough funds to go to college? Well, what if I told you that there are colleges out there that are 100% free as long as you meet some requirements? I know, you’re probably laughing at me right now but I’m serious! There are colleges that are 100% free and I’m going to show you a few of them.
Berea College - A liberal arts college located in Berea, Kentucky allow students to get in if they have a 20-30 score on their ACT or 1410-1980 on their SAT. Your GPA must be at least a 3.0 GPA.
University of New York Teacher Academy – If you’re going to be a teacher and plan on teaching in the New York area, you’ll want to look into this academy. You’ll need to be strong in science, math and must have a high GPA, as well as great ACT or SAT score.
College of the Ozarks- The College of the Ozarks located in Point Lookout, Missouri is for those that are in desperate need of money. Students that are looking to apply here must have at least a 19 on their ACT as well as a decent GPA.
Cooper Union – Cooper Union, located in New York is a college that mainly focuses on Engineering, Art, and Architecture. Out of the tuition-free schools that are out there, this particular college has one of the best annual values. To be accepted here, you’re going to need to submit a portfolio as well as complete a home test on at least seven projects. Not only that, you’ll need a decent GPA and a high ACT or SAT score.
Curtis Institute of Music – If you’re looking to go to college for music, you’ll want to consider the Curtis Institute of Music. This college seeks students who want to pursue music. In order to get in, you’ll have to perform an audition.
Deep Springs College – Deep Springs College is located in Deep Springs, California and focuses on Academics, Labor and Self-Governance. Applicants who are interested in attending this school must have taken the ACT or SAT test and complete a two-stage application.
Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering- If you’re strong with calculus and physics, you’ll want to look into the Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering located in Needham, Massachusetts. In order to be qualified, you will need to have a SAT or ACT score as well as take test in math and science.
Webb Institute- The Webb Institute located in Glen Cove, New York is looking for applicants that have a strong engineering background. You must have a B average in physics, chemistry, and mathematics, as well as strong grades in other classes. Your SAT score should fall between a 1370 and 1600.
These are a handful of colleges out there that offer tuition free classes. How do they do this you might ask? These college rely on heavy donors that are able to pay all of the necessary fees.
