One thing you should note however. Those prices may reflect only tuition, not fees and living costs. In addition, those prices may be for residents of the state. Out-of-state students end up paying significantly more for everything.

I’m not sure these costs are up to date for 2008. University of Nevada is nearly twice that now, the ones in Florida are in the 3,000’s.

If you are looking for the cheapest colleges, look in Oklahoma, Nevada, or Florida. All of those states have rock bottom priced universties. I teach at Oklahoma Panhandle State University, it is one of the least expensive in the country.

Exact reason why I moved from MI to TX for Graduate school. Amazing how cheap education is down south. For those non-residents, hunt for nr-waivers to claim in-state residency. Now granted you will have to have a somewhat solid track-record.

UDC is one of the cheapest. I heard the tuition is considered to be raise but they have not announced how much it averagely costs? However the tuition scale for spring 2009 is not over $ 4180– 18 credit hours for nonresidents. So it should be cheaper for the DC residents then. I’m thinking of transferring that school.–> University of The District of Columbia, Washington DC.
good lucks
