Citing your research paper can be a long and tedious task but when you have the Internet and their wonderful tools, citing your research paper should take no longer than five minutes.  All you’ll need is the correct information and from there, you’ll pop it in and the program fills it out for you the proper way.  This way, you’ll be able to save time and it’ll be 100% right!  Here are the top three websites I recommend:

Son of Citation- The son of citation machine is probably the most popular website among students when it comes to citing your research paper.  On this website, you’ll have to register which is the only downfall.  But once you register, you’ll be given options on how you want to cite your paper.  From there, you’ll have to fill in the necessary information and the son of the citation machine will generate everything for you.  This website is definitely worth registering on!

EasyBib- EasyBib is a little easier to use in my personal opinion.  Right when you hit the homepage, you’ll start your citation process.  You’ll have to choose what type of citation you’re looking for.  No matter what you’re looking for, EasyBib will most likely have it.  This website is known for the selection and easy to use interface.  You won’t be disappointed with EasyBib.

SourceAid- SourceAid is yet another website that I like a lot.  Here, you’ll start the process very similar to EasyBib’s process.  You’ll start off by selecting what writing style you’re using.  Once you select the writing style, a pop up window will appear and will ask you all the necessary questions.  Simply fill out the form and you’ll get what you need to cite your paper, it’s that easy!

These types of websites are great when it comes down to helping you cite your research paper.  One of the main things you have to remember is that you know how to cite the paper, just in case you have a pop quiz, etc.  As easy as it is to pop in some information and get your answer, it’s still important to know how to do this process, that’s one of the main reason’s you’re going to college.. to learn!! But in the meantime, learn how citation works and once you do, use these tools to save time.
