When we have children, we want to spend every minute we can with them.  Although, we realize how costly they really are once we have them.  Since children are expensive, jobs may change, and the parents may even think about attending college for the first time.  If this is your situation, and you’re worried about attending college while you have children, you won’t be the only one that does this.  Several parents have turned to this, especially with the bad economy.  Continue reading for tips on how to manage this situation.

Create a schedule – First, you’ll want to create a schedule for yourself.  This means, figure out which days you want to go to school, which days you want to work, and do homework.  Write it all down, and brainstorm to see what you come up with.

Days for certain things – Try to make days for certain things.  For example, if you want to go to college full-time, make two days just for school.  You could do Tuesday and Thursday, or Monday and Wednesday.  Pick two days you want to go.  Then, if you’re working, choose which days are just for work.  This will create a much more organized schedule.

Always online – If you’re struggling with work and school, you can always consider online classes.  Online classes have so many benefits to them.  You can go online whenever you want, you don’t have to waste gas to go to the campus, and they are great if you have busy schedules because they’re so convenient.

Also, if you don’t have anyone to watch your kid when you’re at school, this is the perfect scenario.  Save money by not getting a babysitter, and by going to school right from your computer.

Going to college with children is rough, but it can definitely be done.  If you can just organize your life, and make days for certain things, you’ll be much further ahead than more parents.  Also, consider online classes if you don’t think the campus classes will work.
