Tips for Winter Class Scheduling
posted by FindCollegeCards.com
It’s a shame that our winter break is close to being over. We’ve been waiting so long for that fall semester to end, and now it has and we’re moving onto our winter semester already. Although it seems like a bummer, it’s important to think that you’re just one day closer to graduating! If you’re going to be signing up for winter classes soon, here’s a few tips you may want to consider (especially if you’re from the north!)
Tips for Winter Class Scheduling
Late starts – First of all, you will most likely want to start later in the day instead of taking morning classes. Something about the winter time always makes us more tired, makes it harder to get motivated, and a lot harder to get up early in the morning. If you agree, you may find yourself skipping more, and getting behind easier.
Online classes - It’s also a good idea to consider online classes in the winter. You never know what the weather is going to be like. The roads may need plowing from snow, the roads may be icy, etc. It’s good to be on the safe side, and just stay indoors when you can sometimes.
Two days - Try to schedule your classes for just two days. For example, if you’re taking 12 credits, take all your classes on either a Monday and Wednesday or a Tuesday and Thursday. This will help you avoid going out everyday and make your life much easier.
Same area – You may also want to try to schedule your classes according to the area. For example, take all English classes so you can stay in the same building instead of walking around campus when it’s only a couple degrees outside. The closeness of your classes will really help you out when you don’t want to fight the cold. If you’re going to take the classes in the future anyways, why not just make it easier now?
Scheduling for classes in the winter time is something no one wants to do (especially when it’s freezing outside.) So, consider a few of these tips, and make your semester run much smoother this time around!
