Often when college students graduate from college they don’t have a penny to their name.  Instead they are in a great amount of debt and are in need of money for many things.  College students don’t realize they need to save at least a little bit of money up for when they graduate.  Yes, college is expensive but it is still possible to save a little bit with the help of getting student loans to pay for your college.  We need money for almost everything today and that is why it is so important to start saving money as young as you can.  What should these college students be saving up for?

Housing – When we graduate college it is that time when we move out because we are old enough to and have our life on the right track.  Whether you move into an apartment, condo or a house you need money to do this.  If you don’t where will you be?  Stuck at your parents.

Car – It is important to have a car, we all know that.  Although what do you do if you don’t have any money to get one?  Most people want to see SOME kind of down payment to even get things going.  Although if you don’t have money to get a car what are you going to do?

Fall back money – Lets say the unexpected comes up like you need money for your car that is in the shop or you got laid off for a week and you’re tight on money, what do you do?  If you have fall back money or emergency money you’ll be just fine.  Although, what if you don’t?

The future – The majority of us want see ourselves getting married, having children, want a house and that perfect life.  Although if you don’t have any money to get things started how do you plan on going about this?  It is always important to have money for the future.

Since you’ve just graduated from college you’re old enough to be on your own.  This means you should have all this stuff covered at least a year after college.  Yes, it is a little hard in the beginning but after a while you should have found that good paying job you’ve gone to school for.  These ideas are for just starting out so you’re not so stressed, have less to worry about and always have a back up incase something fails.
