Time – Once someone has stolen your identity, you’re most likely going to have to spend a lot of time to not only figure out how things happened but how to fix them.  This means you’re going to have to find time, maybe take off work and waste your time fixing it.  Identity theft is very inconvenient and may take weeks or maybe even months to settle.

Create a whole new you – Everything that you owned previously must be destroyed and created for a second time.  This means trashing all your old credit cards, banking cards and anything with your name attached.  Another thing that you may have to destroy is your social security number.  This is something that you’re born with and identifies you completely.  You will have to create a whole new you all due to a criminal.

Money issues – When someone gets a hold of your identity, it may cause some serious money issues.  They can easily rack up your credit cards, max them out, drain your bank accounts and ruin you financially.  This can mean all your hard work and retirement money may no longer exist.

Stress – Once someone has stolen your identity you’ll have the stress that no one else can imagine.  There may be many worries that it will happen again in the future and it may really hurt your health.  Once stress hits you, you may never be the same and suffer from stress the rest of your life.

As you can see, there are many dangers of identity theft.  It is a very time consuming issue, devastating and can really hurt your mental health.  Always make sure you are safe with your purchases and never reveal your personal information.
