As a student, you may find it hard to find a job since most of the jobs are already taken or you don’t know where to look.  Finding a job isn’t that hard, especially if you have the Internet.  There are so many jobs out there that with the press of a simple button, you can find the job you want.  I’m going to show you some places that you should look at to find employment.

SnagaJob.com - SnagaJob is by far my favorite website when it comes to students.  The reason I like this website so much is because it caters to those that are looking for hourly employment only.  Since most students are looking for hourly employment, this is a great place to start.

Indeed.com -Indeed isn’t quite like SnagaJob but it allows you to search across all platforms.  The thing I like about this site is that it grabs listings from hundreds of websites online and gives you the results on one page.  This is great if you’re looking for a l0t of results all in one place.

Try niche based sites - If you have a particular skill, you may want to look at job boards that cater just to you.  If you have a skill in IT, you would go to Dice.com, etc.  Whatever skill you might have, type in your skill + job board on Google and see what it comes up with.

Go straight to the source -Do you know of a place that you might want to work at?  Let’s say you want to work at Best Buy.  Well, if you go to Best Buy’s website, there will be a career page right on their site.  If you see a job opening that you like, apply for it and see what happens from there.

Network - No matter who you know in life, ask them if they know of anyone that’s hiring.  A lot of people today find their jobs based on who they know.  If you know someone, it never hurts to ask!

When looking for a job as a student these are some great steps you can take in order to find your job.  Apply for as many jobs as you can that fit your skill sets and see what comes of it.  The first step to finding the perfect job is by taking action.  Do this and you should find a job you like.
