Not all of us get lucky to come home on the holidays.  Instead, some of us have to spend the holidays at the campus instead of with our friends and family.  Due to things like bad weather, living far away at campus, and other things that get in the way, it makes it too difficult to come home.  Although we don’t picture ourselves having fun at campus, we can still keep ourselves busy and make the best out of it.

Friends – First of all, if you’re not able to come home there are probably other students in the same situation.  Therefore, you and your friends can celebrate the holiday together at campus.  Get together, throw a party, celebrate, and still make a Thanksgiving feast!

Catch up – If you’re behind on your homework or other things in life, now is a perfect time to catch up.  You most likely have a few days off from school so catch up on all your work now!

Phone call – Be sure to make a phone call to your family and friends.  Just because you can’t see them doesn’t mean you can’t send a nice holiday greeting!

Movies – Get together with your friends and watch your favorite movies.  Doing fun things on a holiday is what you need to pass your time away from home.

Shop – There are probably some great deals coming up after Thanksgiving.  Start your Christmas shopping now, and be prepared for the holidays!  This is the perfect time to go out, get those bargains and keep the secrets from everyone.

Spending Thanksgiving on campus isn’t the funnest way to spend the holiday, but you can always make the best out of any situation.  Consider a few of the tips above to spend your break, and still have fun around the holiday!
