This is part 6 of 6 on the dorm room essentials

College is no different than High School, when it comes to supplies.  Now, when you talk about learning, and the whole atmosphere, then sure, it’s different.  Today, let’s take a look at what you should bring into your classroom, every time you’re ready to start your class.

By being prepared, it’s going to make you a better student, as well as a student that’s not going to feel embarrassed when you forget an item.  There’s nothing worse than “borrowing” an item from another student.

  • Backpacks – Make sure that you research these, when looking for one, since there are plenty on the market.
  • Calculator – If you’re going to take advanced math classes, highly consider a graphing calculator.
  • Folders
  • Highlighters
  • Index cards
  • Notebooks
  • Paper, and lots of it!
  • Paperclips
  • Pens and pencils
  • Pencil sharpener
  • Ruler
  • Scissors
  • Staplers
  • Tape

These are going to be your basics, but every class is going to vary.  What you’ll find out during the first day of class is that most professors will give you a good checklist on what you’re going to need.  Be sure to get these items as soon as possible.

What you’re going to find out too is that you’re going to need textbooks as well.  I would highly advise that you look into getting your textbook outside on class on websites such as Amazon, and others.  On the top, we’ve created a great textbook search tool that you can use, in order to find the cheapest textbooks on the market today.
