Once we graduate high school and enter the college life, we realize just how expensive it is. College definitely isn’t cheap after you add up the price of books, tuition, dorm expenses, etc. Although we can’t get college 100% free, we can definitely save money on it. Commute – First of all, you always want to go to a community college for the first two years. You can get the same education for a cheaper price. Once your first two years are up, then you will want to transfer to a university. Just make sure that your credits will transfer from your community college.
Scholarships – If you start applying for scholarships now, and receive a few of them you can start saving money on college this semester! Scholarships are great because they are usually pretty easy to do, and can save you up to thousands on college tuition.
FAFSA – File for FAFSA! It is always worth a shot. You may be eligible to get free money for college. Every penny helps!
Classes you need – Once you enroll in college and you decide what you want to major in, go see a counselor. They will help you figure out which classes you need, and will help you save your money, and time by helping you avoid the classes that you don’t need.
