First, there are a few books online that you may want to look into.  Not only do they help you with tips, they give you advice, and more on what you should, and shouldn’t do.

100 Successful College Application Essays by Harvard Independent
This is a fantastic book that has 100 essays that you can browse through.  While the Internet has a great selection of examples, you will find some of these to be exactly what you’re looking for.

CC has a great guide that you can follow through, when you want to get more information on essays, and how to create the perfect one.  A step by step guide with examples, and more.

The books listed above, as well as the websites mentioned should give you more than enough information, when it comes to finding samples.  While you don’t want to write your word for word, you will just want to be creative, and be yourself.
