When it comes to eating and college, it’s always great to create some healthy dishes that are not only healthy, but reasonable as well when it comes to price. I did some searching online and found a few recipes that you can try in order to save money, and eat well while in college.
Simple Ramen Dish
Price: $5
This dish is rather simple. Grab a bag of ramen noodles, shredded cheese, some meat, and some sauce. The sauce can be any of your favorites. Mix it up when they are all heated, and it’s almost like a little dish of pasta, but for a very cheap price!
Chicken Pasta
Price: $5
You’re going to find that many of the cheap dishes that are healthy for you are going to require pasta. With this one, you’ll want to pick up a box of pasta, some sauce of your choice, as well as some chicken. Cook the pasta and chicken. Once you’re done, you’ll want to mix them up, add some spices, and even cheese if you have it around! A simple, yet delicious dinner.
Seared Tuna
Price: $5
Everyone has tuna fish around, and if you love it, this is a recipe for you. Take your tuna fish, add some lemon juice, soy sauce, and a little salt pepper, and it’s going to taste a lot better than your canned stuff!
Chicken Breast w/ Mustard
Price: $7
This dish is great, yet so simple, and taste great! You’ll want to grab some chicken breast and grill them. You’ll then want to get some broth, and cook it until done. If you’re a fan of onions, grill these as well with the chicken. Once everything is grilled, add some dijon mustard along side your broth, and pour a little bit over your chicken breast.
Berry and Chocolate Yogurt

If you’re sick of reading the dinner recipes, you may want to look at this dessert recipe. It’s fairly simple and it’s great as well! All you will need some vanilla yogurt, strawberries and dark chocolate syrup. Mix them all together and you have a sweet treat.
These are just a few of the millions of recipes that are online. Try some of them above, and also be sure to check out a post we made a few months back on healthy microwavable dinners for college students.
