Although Valentines Day may be a Hallmark holiday, it is a day that should celebrated or at least acknowledged.  You don’t have to go above and beyond but maybe make something yourself instead.  Homemade presents are much more meaningful than store bought items.  If you are on a tight budget try making these few things for a much cheaper price!

Make it Yourself Valentines Day Gifts:

Collage:  A collage of all your pictures is a very nice present to give.  It is very meaningful, a great gift and can be done for a very reasonable price.  Get all your favorite pictures together and take them into your local drug store to create a collage.

Scrapbook page:  Another nice idea is getting scrapbooking supplies for a certain page.  Choose a picture you really like, then dress it up with scrapbooking supplies and nice paper.  Then, when you’re done put it in a nice frame and wrap it as a gift.

Dinner:  Make your significant other’s favorite dinner and dessert.  This will surprise them and give them something to look forward to on this special day.  Be creative, have fun and make their night.

Printable coupons:  Make your own printable coupons.  Whether they are for a free massage, car wash, dinner at home, etc they will be appreciated.  Think of what your significant other really loves that you can do and make them a coupon.

Card: A handmade card is much more special than a store bought card.  Design a nice card, write a poem that you made up and write a little message saying how much your partner means to you.

Candy jar:  Get a candy jar from the store or a nice heart box and paint it.  Paint it, dress it up with jewels and give it a Valentines Day theme.  Then, fill it with their favorite candy.  Also, try adding a little note in there with something special written on it.

Making your own Valentines Day gifts is the way to go!  It saves you money, is a fun thing to do, and is much more appreciated than a store bought gift.  Be creative, have fun, and see what you can come up with.
