Do you have an English class that you’re currently enrolled in?  If so, you may have your share of papers to write this semester.  If so, one thing you need to learn how to do is to write a college paper.  Papers aren’t hard to write, but if you don’t know how to write them, it can be.  Continue reading below if you’re looking for steps on how to write a college paper.

Introduction - First of all, you want to start your paper by writing the introduction.  This will kind of tell the reader what to expect during your paper.  This should be a paragraph and then end with a thesis statement.

Thesis statement – Once you get to your thesis statement, this is where you talk about your three points briefly.  Name them by summing it up in one sentence.  This will prepare your reader to hear about these three points.

Main points – Now, you will talk about your three or more points.  You will have a paragraph for each one and discuss what you’re trying to tell your reader.  This is also known as the “body” of your paper.

Conclusion – Once you’re done discussing your main points, you will want to end the paper with a conclusion.  This will usually wrap up your paper by saying one last statement to end the paper.  Once you’re done with the conclusion, the last sentence should be your thesis statement again.

Thesis statement – End your conclusion by using your thesis statement again.  For example,  now that you know about example 1, example 2, and example 3, blah blah.  You want to wrap up your paper by saying one last thing about your three points.

Writing a college paper isn’t hard to do.  You just need to make sure you have the right style.  Once you know the form of the paper, and have your main points thought out, all you have to do is write, and fill in the spaces!
