There are many different things you can do to help make sure you do well on your final exam.  Consider some of these tips below for guidance.

Sleep – Before you go to take an exam, you want to make sure you get enough sleep.  Sleep gives us energy which then allows us to concentrate and do well on our assignments and school work.  Make sure you feel refreshed, go to bed early the night before and relax.

Healthy lifestyle – As always, it is important to have a healthy lifestyle.  This means eat a well balanced diet, take your vitamins, and give your body the food and sleep it needs.  If you can have a healthy lifestyle instead of a stressed, and partying life, you’ll perform much better on your exam and in college overall.

Organize – If you want to do well in your classes and on your final, you need to make sure all your assignments are organized.  Take all your papers from the beginning and review, and studying everything you’ve learned until the end of the semester.

Each day – If you study a little bit each day, and avoid studying the last day until the exam, you’ll do much better.  This will give you time to understand, remember, and go over all the important information you need to know.

Review – I highly recommend that you go over all your old worksheets, tests and quizzes that you had in the past.  Professors like to make up exams quickly and if they can just pull information off each test they made previously, it will be much easier.  Also, if you’ve been tested on it already that probably means it’s pretty important.

Relax – It is common for college students to panic and worry about the exam that is going to take place.  Although this is normal, try to relax.  If you have a relaxed and positive attitude, you will be able to think much clearer and perform even better.

If you’re looking for ways to perform better on your upcoming cumulative exam, consider these tips above.  If you follow them you will do very well and be in much more control than if you didn’t follow them.  Just remember to relax, and have a positive attitude when you walk into your classroom!
