Use the Internet. The Internet comes in handy for everything if you know how to use it. There are great websites out there that sell the books you’re looking for at a cheap price!

I am a nursing student and I completely agree on the outrageous prices of college textbooks! I tried buying older editions of some of my textbooks to save money, but have found that it is mostly out of date and NOT what my teachers are testing on… I started using Bookswim.com to rent my nursing books, and I love it. I saved over $250 last semester, and I intend on using it next year as well. I would like to add this website to your list as well as pass along the word of where to rent textbooks.

Renting books seems like where a lot of college students are going today, makes a lot of sense. Bookswim looks like a good website..

You should first try the library to see if your textbook is there. Even if you have to keep the book longer after renewing it, the late fee is still cheaper than renting the book. If not, chegg.com usually has pretty good deals on textbook rentals. You can get free priority shipping until December 31, 2009 and 5% off rentals until June. Promo Code: CC107501
