It is very common for most college students to not get enough sleep on daily basis.  They spend their time studying, partying, going to school, working and so on.  Although many students don’t get enough sleep and don’t feel they have the time, they really do have the time.  If you’re a college student that doesn’t get enough sleep or knows someone who doesn’t, continue to read below.  Listed below we have tips for getting enough rest as a college student.

Have a schedule – When you’re in college it is very important that you organize your life and create a schedule.  This means know when you’re going to go to school, when you’re going to work, when you’re going to hang out with friends and when you’re going to go to bed.  Have a certain time for all of these because they are all important!

No excuses – Don’t stay up too late.  It is so easy to say, I’ll be fine on 6 hours, ill just take a nap tomorrow.  Although, that nap just never seems to happen.  Once you say this a couple times in a row, your body will be drained, you’ll most likely get sick and you will be more tired than ever.

Time for bed – When it is time to go to bed and you’re tired, go to bed.  Don’t stay up and talk on the phone, hang out with friends, watch TV and so on, just go to bed.  A college life is a busy life so it is very important that you take care of yourself and get the sleep your body requires.

How to sleep – It is also very important to know how to sleep to get good sleep.  Simply lay in bed, get rid of all distractions, turn off any loud sounds and just relax.  Get comfortable, free your mind of any stress you may have and just shut your eyes.  If you can just learn how to relax your body will get much better sleep.  A lot of people have a hard time sleeping all the way through even if they are tired.  We tend to toss and turn, wake up occasionally, become wide awake and find it hard to get back to sleep.  So, free your mind of any stress and just try to relax.  Next weeks test isn’t important when you’re going to bed so don’t think of any stressful things.
