It happens to all of us.  We wait until the last minute to study for a test or an exam.  Although it may not be the smartest thing we’ve ever done, it happened and now we have less than 24 hours to soak up the information to pass our test.  At this point you probably regret waiting until the last minute, therefore you’re looking for tips on how to really cram the information the night before.  If this is your situation, continue reading below for help!

Organize

First of all, you want to organize all your papers first.  This will help you find what you’re looking for and get you ready to study.  So, get all the papers in the right date and order and start to go over them.

Review

Now, search through your papers and try to remember whether or not you have a study guide or some kind of review.  Reviews are the best way to study because they are an outline of what you need to know, and are usually filled with the most important information.

Go over

Now, go over your review and find all the papers you can for each topic.  This will help you realize which papers are the most important to study from.  Also, it will help you avoid studying from the papers that have the least information on them.

Repeat

Now that you’ve found some important papers really try to remember them by repeating what it says over and over.  Write it down if you have to, and just say it 10 times in a row until you can remember the majority of it.

Quizzes

Quizzes are also the best way to study because the information on them is known to be “important enough” to put on the quiz.  Not to mention most professors take questions right off of the quizzes they’ve already given you.

Sleep and eat

Although you may think you need to keep studying, your brain needs a break.  If you don’t get enough sleep and don’t eat a good breakfast in the morning you won’t function as well and will be too tired to even remember what you’ve been studying for.

Cramming all the important information for a test takes time, and is something that needs to be repeated until your brain recognizes it.  So, take your time, don’t panic and start out by considering these tips to help you soak up as much information as possible!
