Goals to Set This Year in College
posted by FindCollegeCards.comAh, it’s the beginning of another school year. This time may seem dreadful, but only if you make it that way. If you have the mindset that it is exciting, and a brand new start, you just may have a better year this time around. One great thing to do before the fall semester starts is to set goals. This keeps us achieving what we’re trying to do, keeps us focused, and lets us feel like we’ve accomplished something.
Improve GPA - Try to set the goal of improving your GPA. If it’s on the lower side, or if it’s good but could be better, try to raise it! Once you do, you will feel great and you’ll get the most for your money!
Save up money – If you’re working a part time job, try to save up as much money as you can. Most college students live paycheck to paycheck and don’t have much saved. So, try to prepare for the future, and find hobbies that are cost-free.
Friends and family – Try to visit friends and family more. These often get set aside after work and homework. So, if you can try to set the goal of seeing these important people more often.
Better health – It is always good to take care of your health. Set the goal to exercise more (which helps reduce stress tremendously), and try to eat a well balanced diet.
Positive attitude – Go into this semester with a positive attitude. If you don’t you’ll be miserable until the end. So, try to make the best of every situation.
Setting goals is a great thing to do. You will be much more focused, and when you accomplish something you’ll appreciate much more. So, before this fall semester starts consider a few of these goals to set. These will improve your health, social life, and give you a better focus on your classes!
