College isn’t the cheapest thing on the planet but what if I told you there were ways to go to school for free or at least get a heavy discount? I know it may sound too good to be true but if you read some of these points, it will be fairly obvious. As long as you take action, I’m sure you’ll see some sort of results.
Search out the scholarships – I can’t stress this one enough. Scholarships are the key to going to school for free. With service such as FastWeb, it’s not hard to find the scholarship you’re looking for. FastWeb has over 3.4 billion dollars worth of scholarships available to you. Do you think you can be eligible for one? I bet you are. Treat this like part time job and you’ll thank yourself in the end.
Don’t take certain classes – You may not have to take classes that you think you need to. Some classes may allow you to test out. Meet with your advisor to see if you can test out of certain classes so that you don’t have to pay the full fee. It never hurts to test out because most of the time it’s free to test out of.
Get a job that pays – A few months ago I wrote a post on how you can get free tuition from certain employers. Search the area and see if you can find a job that helps pay with college. You may be surprised with who will help. Places like gas stations, UPS, and others may reimburse you up to 100%. Be sure to check out that previous post for more information.
GI bill- I’m sure you know this by now but if you were in the military, you’re probably eligible for education benefits. Everything from training to college classes. Check out the GI Bill home for more information on this.
Working at the school – Check with your school and see if you can get a job there. Most jobs on campus will allow you to get a discount with your tuition. Things such as tutoring, working in the cafeteria, etc may enable you to get a check toward your tuition bill at the end of each semester.
Research online – There are plenty of other ways to attend college for free. Simply hop on forums, read websites and find ways to get money toward your tuition. Just by doing some research, you may be able to find some alternatives that can help with your tuition.
Attending college for nothing at all is going to be tough but if you do what I said and possibly find work or find that perfect scholarship, this will allow you to cut your bills next to nothing when it comes to learning. Work hard, take action, and good thing shall come!

College is expensive and unless you can get a scholarship or find a job that will pay for your tuition, it’s going to be hard to get free tuition. My advice is to get a job that pays well. You need to work for your money. As a college student with little or no experience and not a lot of free time to work, you need to find a job that will work with your tight schedule. Because of this inflexibility and the slow economy it might be almost impossible to find a job right now. But don’t give up, there are jobs out there.
I worked since I was in high school so I know that working while going to school is not easy. I found out that finding a job that I enjoyed was how I survived the long days. I worked for a company called Vector Marketing in college. I wish I had found that job sooner because the hours were very flexible, I was able to make my own hours, and the money was great for the hours I worked. Vector helped me become a leader and putting the job on my resume helped me out immensely after graduating.
