Phone for free onlineAs a college student, we all know that paying for many bills isn’t possible.  With all the studying that has to be done, it’s hard to get a job, let alone pay a few bills.  Since the main bills, such as tuition need to be paid off first, it’s important that you look for free alternatives, if you’re looking to make free calls to friends, and family.

SkypeWith millions, and millions people using their service, Skype is an amazing service if you’re looking to connect with people on the Internet.  If you want to make phone calls through your computer, Skype has some very low pricing plans per month, which I think are well worth it.

Google VoiceGoogle recently launched Google Voice, where you can make free calls from your cell phone.  With this service you will get a free number, and this will forward your calls to your phone.   You can also call a number, in order to save on your phone bills.  It comes with a great voicemail feature, and more.  Did I say it was 100% free?

Gizmo5 - Just like Skype, you can call any users on Gizmo from your PC to PC for free.  There’s no set up fee, and no monthly fees as well.  I like Gizmo5 because of it’s cool interface, but if you’re looking for a great way to connect with more people, Skype may be the way to go.

iCall - iCall is awesome because you can’t make free calls throughout the USA.  The only downfall is that you’re limited to 5 minutes on the free plan, but if you need to make it short, and sweet, this may be the right option for you.

InternetCalls - I’m going to save the best for last.  InternetCalls let’s you call a ton of countries for free.  There are some limitations though, but this service is worth a shot as well.
