No matter where you attend college, it can be expensive and when you hear that you can potentially get free grant money for college, your ears may perk up.  While it probably sounds too good to be true, it really isn’t and I’m going to show you exactly how you can get that free money, so you can make your college experience a little bit easier.

Try Student Aid – No matter how rich or poor you are, the government offers programs that will assist you with your college bills.  These programs will not require you to pay the government back.  It doesn’t hurt to apply for them because the worst thing that’s going to happen is that you’ll get denied.  Check out the official FAFSA government website.

Claim yourself – When you get out high school and you start applying for these grants, you may find that your parents make too much money.  If you’re parents aren’t going to assist you with school, simply claim yourself and your income. Make sure that you get a job.  If you do this, you’ll have a better chance at getting approved for a grant.

Join the FWS- The FWS known as the federal work study will allow you to work at the school you’re attending.  In return, you’ll get credited toward your tuition.  This way, you’re gaining work experience and you’re also getting money for your bills.  It’s a win-win situation.

You may find that none of these options may work when you try for grant money.  Just becasue you’re getting denied, it doesn’t mean you’re not going to be able to find free money for college elsewhere.  The rule of thumb is that the lower your income is, the better your chances are of getting approved for financial aids.

TIP:  If you find that financial aid isn’t working for you, I highly suggest you work your butt off and find schloarships that may give you free money.  Try a free scholarship searchand see what you could be eligible for.  The more work you put into it, the better your chances are of finding free money is.
