If you don’t want to vote online, be sure to check out places that you can vote, some of the places that hold voting drives are places like -

Know the rules – Every state is different when it come to an election and it’s important that you know the general rule.  Some rules are the same across the board such as being at least 18 year of age to vote.  A great website to check out for the rules regarding your state is VOTE411.org.  Here, you’ll be able to select your state and a page will pop up with all the rules that you need to be aware of.

Vote! – Once you know all of the rules and you have your voter’s registration card, you’re going to want to know when to vote.  For example, the 2008 president’s election will be held on November 4, 2008.  When you’re ready to vote, you’re going to want to bring the following:

  • Your driver’s license or state ID (this is usually all you need)

If you want to be 100% safe, bring the following:

  • Any bill such as an electric bill with your name on it.
  • Voter’s card.
  • Military ID
  • Social Security Card

Keep in mind, an ID will do but some people want to be 100% safe if somethings go bad, if you bring all of the above, you’ll do just fine.  If you need to change your address or any personal information in the future, make sure you do so that the voter’s record is updated.
