A lot of us have plans to attend college right out of high school.  We have an idea where we want to attend college, what we’re going for, and we’re just getting everything ready for it.

Summer tends to fly, and therefore college comes up very quickly.  If you’re a college freshman that is worried and/or curious about your first day of school, you’re not alone.  Everyone is nervous for there first day, especially because everything is new to us.  So, if you’re looking for some tips beforehand so you’re more than prepared, continue reading below.

Dates – First of all, a lot of college students tend to miss the first day of school.  Either they don’t feel like coming, forget, or they get the dates mixed up.  So, before you do anything, make sure you have the right dates, times and days!

Supplies – Next, you’re going to want to make sure you have all your college supplies.  Come to class with a notebook and pen.  You will find out everything you need for your classes once you go, but be sure you have a notebook and pen or pencil to take notes for the first day.

Schedule – Next, you’re going to want to make sure you know where all your classes are.  Students tend to wait until the day of to find their classes, then come in late because they have a hard time finding it.  Plan a day to find all your classes, that way you’re on time and you’re already prepared.

Don’t miss it – You want to make sure you go to your first day of class.  This is the most important day.  They will hand you all your syllabuses and any important papers.  Also they will go over the course description, and fill you in on anything you’re wanting to know.

Take notes – Also, be sure to take some notes.  Taking notes is important and is a great way to write things down that you will want to remember later.

The first day of college is nothing to be scared or nervous about.  A lot of other people will be going through the same thing as you.  The atmosphere is known to be much more comfortable than when you were in high school.  So, really, don’t be afraid, instead just be prepared.
