When looking to save money on merchandise, there are many places you can turn to. As you read my next few points, it should give you a good idea on how you can save money on just about anything related to that college.
Check out the campus bookstore
Every major college has some sort of bookstore and no, you don’t have to be a student to go to it. Simply walk on campus and find the bookstore. It’s open to anyone and it works like a store. Look at the clearance racks or areas where they sell what you’re looking to buy. Depending on the season will depend on what you can get. The best place to find a cheaper piece of equipment is generally in the clearance section.
Check online stores
The Internet is filled with thousands on retailers. If you don’t mind buying used, I would recommend you look at Ebay. If you don’t prefer used, check out the college’s main website. Some colleges have online stores while others don’t. If they do have an online store, look to see if they have a clearance section online. You may find after paying a shipping fee, if there is one, you can grab yourself a pretty good deal.
Go to a local sporting good shop
When you’re looking for college merchandise, a great place to look is at a local sporting good chain in your city. As long as the college is within fifty or so miles from the campus, these stores will generally carry a good supply of shirts, hats, etc. Go into the store and once again, see if they have some sort of clearance center. You’ll be amazed at what you can find.
No matter where you go, I would recommend you look at the clearance shelves. It’s not always the larger XXL shirts. Most of the time, it’s out of season stuff or things that people may not want. Try some of the tips above and see what you can come up with.
