Whether you’re going to college right now or you’re planning on attending college in the fall, every college student is always looking for ways to make money.  One of the easiest ways to make money is by getting a job right on your college campus.  Not only do you not have to drive anywhere, it’s convenient, and most of the times they can easily work around your college schedule.  Here are some tips on how you can find a college campus job  –

Go to the career office- Every college has a career office and if you simply stop by, you can get a lot of answers.  At the career office, you’ll be able to find job openings, internships, and anything job related.  Simply stop  by the office and tell them you’re interested in getting a job at the college.  Depending on the size of the college will depend on how many job openings there will be.  Most colleges generally have restuarants, book stores, office jobs, etc.

Start networking- Just like in real life, the more you network, the better your chances are of landing a job.  So, in the long run, start meeting up with  people and make as many friends as possible.  Whenever you strike up a conversation with a person, ask them if you know of anyone hiring around the college, you’ll be surprised on how many people will know of others that have a job opening.  It never hurts to ask!

Check the classifieds, Internet- When you’re searing for an on campus job, treat it as if it were a real life job.  The best place to search for a job is by searching your college newspaper.  Every newspaper has a classified section.  Simply check this section along with the internet.  When you see a job opening, either apply for it in person or send in your application.

A on campus college job should be treated no different than a normal job.  If you live by a bigger college town, you may want to apply at places around there as well.  Make sure that the job you apply for will be flexible with your college schedule because after all, you’re going to college to gain a better education, not work for minimum wage.  School should always come first in the end.
