Ask around – A lot of jobs require you to know someone to get hired. If you can, ask your friends and family if they can get you in where they are working.
Simply apply – If you see places that are hiring, be sure to get a couple applications and fill them all out so that way they know you’re really interested in working for them. Every now and them, walk in and ask if they’ve reviewed your application yet, although don’t be too pushy, just politely ask.
Job fairs – At the end of the winter college semester, a lot of colleges have a job fair. If you can, attend that job fair. You will find several places that are hiring and currently need help.
Flyers – Pass out flyers if you are interested in maybe babysitting, gardening, doing yard work, etc. Pass them around your neighborhood and see what kind of traffic you receive.
Place to place – If you’re really desperate to find a job, ride around and apply at any place you can, even if they’re not hiring. A great place to go is up town, in plazas and at the mall. Apply until you get a phone call, if you do this, you’re bound to find somewhere!
