Exercise is something that is very important for college students.  With such hectic, stressful and busy lives, it is important to fight against stress.  It is safe to say that most college students are going to school full-time and are working a part-time job.  With these two activities going on everyday, there is little time to relax and spend time alone.  If you’re a college student that is trying to get in more exercise on a daily basis, you’re not alone.  We all think about how important it is but rarely take action.  Exercise doesn’t have to be boring, instead it can be be very fun and rewarding.  Need some fun ideas for getting in exercise?  Continue to read below.

Gym – If you can spare about 5-7 hours per week, a gym can be perfect for you!  Take some time to get out of the house, put down the books and take care of your body.  A gym is great because you can do what you want, when you want and bring a friend along to make it even more enjoyable.

Sports – Get some friends together and become little kids again.  Play outside, play your favorite sports and create a sports team.  Get together a couple times a week play your favorite sport, create teams and play each other.  This is a good way to get out of the house, hang out with friends and get exercise!

Class – Look to find a class that you’d be interested in taking.  Whether you sign up for a karate class, yoga, aerobics, etc. you’ll guarantee yourself a great time. 

Videos – Have some friends over and be silly by doing work out videos.  These are great because you don’t need to leave the house, you can get a great exercise and have a fun time.

Walk – Set aside a few days and a certain time every week that is dedicated to walking.  Whether you walk around town, around the subdivision with your neighbor or take your dog for a walk, move those legs!  This is a great way to get outside, enjoy the fresh air and take time for yourself.

Treadmill – Do you ever get that rage of frustration?  If so, hop on the treadmill for a good 10 minutes.  Sprint, run, jog or power walk and you’ll see your frustration and stress slowly fade away.

Exercising doesn’t have to be boring or dreadful.  If you find it that way, get together with friends, listen to your favorite music, or reward yourself when you’re done.  Exercise is very important for college students and if you’re interested in finding something that works for you, consider the ideas above.
