Easy Meals to Cook for Students
posted by FindCollegeCards.comAs a college student, if you’re going to stay on campus, or maybe you’re going to be staying in a dorm room, you’re soon going to find out that the college based food is going to get old fairly fast.
If you’re looking for some great easy meals to cook at home for a low cost, I wanted to point you in the direction of a place to go. As you may know, many dorm room halls have public kitchens that you can use. Better yet, if you’re staying in an apartment, you’ll have your own kitchen.
Check out a few ideas that are listed below that should be quick, as well as very, very simple.
Load up toast or a bagel: Picture a bagel or toast as a platform to mess with anything. Add cheese, vegetables, and more. You can be fairly creative with this one.
Bagel Pizzas: While we’re talking about bagels, you can also turn one into a mini pizza. Add some sauce with a few of your favorite toppings.
Mac and cheese: This favorite is so simple to make. Whether you want to make it via the box, or you want to make a homemade version, there are many ways you can do it. Check out this macaroni and cheese recipe post that I made a while back.
- Anything pasta: Pasta is so easy to do and the ideas are endless. Grab a box of pasta at your local store, some sauce, and some cheese. Mix up anything you want. Its very quick and easy.
- Grilled Cheese / Soup: A great combo that can go with anything. Grab a can of soup, load up some bread and cheese and you have yourself a fantastic lunch.
- Quesadillas: This is what I make a lot at home. You’re basically going to need some tortillas, some cheese, and melt them together. A little butter added beforehand helps too!
- Hot Dogs: Very easy to grill or boil. Throw on some toppings, grab a bun, and you can enjoy this treat.
Now, the list can go on and one. These should give you enough ideas for now. If you’re looking for a load of recipes, be sure to check out some of the posts mentioned below.
