With the fall fast approaching, you’re going to find that you’re going to need a lot of things for your dorm room.  Sure, there are going to be things that you don’t need, while there are going to be things that you will need.

In order to make the packing easier, you’re going to want to keep your roommate in mind, as well as know how much space that there is in your dorm.  You don’t want to have 2 TVs, refrigerators, and more.  This is why its important to call up your roommate ahead of time to figure out what each one of you is bringing.

I looked back at my college dorm room days and came up with the essentials that I just couldn’t live without.  You may think differently but I would recommend that you attempt to bring most of these items with you.

  18. Curtains (if your room is bright)

  22. First Aid Kit
  23. Floss
  24. Folders
  25. Glasses
  26. Hair Dryer
  27. Hamper for dirty clothes
  28. Iron / Board
  29. Lamp
  30. Laptop / Desktop (your choice)

  33. Medicine you use on occasions or a prescription

As you can probably see from the list, there are a lot of things that you can use, as well as not use.  I personally think that you can use all 50 of them.  Now, you don’t want to overload too much because again, as I mentioned before, you’re going to want to make sure that you’re not bringing duplicates.
