best cookware for studentsWhen you go away to college, it’s now the time that you’re going to break away from your house, your parents, and everything that you know.  If you’re going to go away to college, you’re going to find that you’re going to need a lot of stuff.

Now, no matter where you go, you’re going to quickly find out that you’re going to get sick of the college food in the cafeteria rather fast.  Well, instead of moaning about it and not doing something, you may want to bring your own cookware.

Now, many colleges do allow dorm refrigerators, as well as microwaves.  You’re going to want to check with them ahead of time to ensure that you bring something like this there, just to be safe.

I wanted to showcase a few cookware sets that you may want to consider when you’re thinking about cooking in your dorm room, or your apartment if you choose to rent one out.

Cusinart Chef’s Classic Set (around $100): The thing that I like the most about this set is that you can take it with you not matter where you go in life.  What you’re going to find is that you get a durable, highly rated set that’s going to set you back around $100.  This 10 piece set will be the best of the best when you attend college.

T-Fal 10-pack (around $50): This set is a little cheaper, but you’re going to realize that you’re going to get a good set in T-Fal.  This 10 piece set includes everything that you’re going to need.  It has a non-stick surface, its dishwasher safe, and even has designed stay-cool handles.

Faberware Classic Set (around $110): With this set, you’re going to get a lot for your money.  This set alone has over 17 pieces that you can cook with.  They have a full-capped aluminum core for superior cooking.  They are dishwasher-safe and come with a limited lifetime warranty.

Cuisinart Chef’s Classic 7 Piece (around $75): This set comes with 7 pieces but you’re going to find that these can get the job done.  For the price, you just can’t beat it!  Oven safe for up to 550 degrees.

Cook N Home 7 Piece Set (around $25): This is the cheapest set on the list, but don’t let it fool you.   It actually has received great reviews based on the value alone.  If you’re going to want to something that’s going to last you for the next 5 years, consider this great set.

I tried my best to keep the sets under $100, but some are a little more.  Yes, I know this is a lot for a college student but you’re going to find out that you’re going to move out sooner or later in life, so consider it an investment for the future.
