865021_typeAfter we graduate college, we’re looking to find that job we’ve worked so hard for.  We want to show off what we’ve done the past couple years, impress our future boss, and find an easy way to get our foot into the door at work.  So, how can we do all this?  It is a good idea that you make a resume after you graduate college.  They aren’t hard to make, are something employers look for, and really show that you’re interested in the job.  So how do you make an after college resume?

Personal information – First, you’ll want to start out by giving your personal information.  This is usually your name, address, phone number, fax number, and your e-mail for contacting.

Schooling – Then you’ll write out where you graduated high school, and college.  Give information like 2002-2006 Lakeshore High School and 2006-2010 Rochester College.  Write out the years and where you attended.  Also, if you were in anything like clubs at school mention those, along with your GPAs if they were good, and what you graduated with.

Jobs – Write out all the jobs you’ve had.  Although skip the ones if you’ve been fired or didn’t work there for very long.  Just write out the main ones, and how long you worked there.

Activities – Are you involved with any activities?  For example if you volunteer anywhere, mention that!  Or if you play sports, etc.

Experience – If you have any experience with what you graduated with, write that down.  For example, if you’re looking for a teaching job, and you’ve tutored or have helped out in a classroom setting, let them know!  The more experience the better, so don’t be afraid to write all your accomplishments and achievements!

After readint this, you should have a pretty good idea on what to write about. Simply include all of these things listed above, and you’ll give them a good idea on what you’re all about.  Good luck with your job searching!
