Many young people who go to Community College find that it is very difficult for them to get a good day care service for their children. Many young students have from one to three small children who are below the public school age and must have constant care. The expense of putting your child in day care mounts up quickly which makes a serious problem for Community College students.
Community Colleges all across the nation are working on resolving this problem In order to help keep students in school. Lansing Community College is working on a program where they will be turning the dark room into a space for the children making it into a daycare center. The new bail-out money proposed by President Obama will be an essential factor that will help the College to renovate making a day care center in the center of the college for the students. The students will be able to drop in during the day and check out how they are doing. The students will also pay on a sliding scale making it possible for them to afford to use the service.
The college will be using the service as a training lab teaching other students how to become teachers, nurses, and emergency care workers. This will only add to the schools ability to increase the training program without having to send the students out to other centers for their training. This is a great program for college students and the colleges. The new bail -out bill proposed by President Obama will be a valuable asset for young people who are attending Community Colleges. Community Colleges will find that it will help them to grow accepting more students and increasing the curriculum.
There are many Community Colleges that already have a day care center for their student’s children and they use the facility for training as well. The success rate of the students graduating with children is much higher than for those who have to find a child care outside the college. The reason being is that the expense can be more than the student can afford, not being with their child brings a heavy toll on family relationships, and reliability of having someone take care of their child when needed is not always there for the student. Providing a daycare care for the students is very important.

Our college as a Children’s Learning Center day care center that caters to our student body and to the community. The infant slots are maintained for student’s children. Parents not only come in during the day to see their children but ask the “skilled” teachers many questions about caring for their children.
