The Internet is a big place for anyone and when you’re trying to look for something in particular, it can be hard sometimes.  Since search engines can only do so much, I compiled a list of the top five websites you should check out as a college student.  Some of them I’m sure you’ve heard of but some may new to you.  I highly recommend you check some of them out because they may be able to help with your schooling.

FaceBook.com- FaceBook, possibly the coolest and most popular website on the net allows anyone in the world to create a profile and network with just about anyone.  The reason this website is so great for college student is because you’re able to network with kids for your own college.  This makes it easier for you to keep in contact when you graduate and also allows you to keep in contact while you’re attending college.

Google.com – If you haven’t heard of this website by  now, I don’t know where you’ve been.  I have to include this obvious website because it is the power of the Internet.  No matter what you’re looking for, 99% of the time you’re going to be able to find it.  Are you looking for more information on George Washington?  Are you looking for more information on your neighbor?  No matter what you search, you’ll be able to find it.

YouTube.com- YouTube is yet another power website on the web currently operated by Google.  With YouTube, you’ll be able to find a video on just about anything you can think of.  From a documentary on presidents to kids throwing water balloons, it’s goign to be on here.  Do you have something interesting to share?  Upload it for the world to see.  YouTube is a great source for college students looking to get more information on particular assignments.

Wikipedia.org- Wikipedia, the world’s largest source on information on the Internet could possibly be the best website on the web when it comes to information.  Beware when you use this website though because anyone can edit the page.  Regardless of that feature, it’s still a nice tool to use when you’re looking to get more information on a partiuclar topic.  The best thing about this website is that it’s free.

Myspace.com- Myspace used to be a big website among college student ant it still is but I think FaceBook is slowly taking over.  Myspace, like FaceBook allows you to socially network with other college students or just about anyone in the world.  You’ll be able to chat, exchange pictures, and so much more.  Not only can you network with others, you’ll be able to find jobs, find others that share the same interests and more.
