A college student needs to eat, but you’re going to find that there’s no time for cooking.  Unlike when you were a child, you’re not going to have that extra two hours to prepare a meal, and cook what you like.  The college life is different, and you’re going to find that 15 – 30 minutes is all you have to cook a quick, yet healthy meal.

The thing about college, and cooking is that you’re not going to have all the appliances that you need.  For example, a dorm room is generally going to have a community kitchen, or cafe, but a lot of the times, you can’t count on getting that stove, or oven.  Instead, you’ll be stuck with a microwave.  Even if you are, let me give you some great recipe ideas for your dorm.

Purchase “Cooking Outside of the Box” - If you have a few dollars laying around, go out and purchase this book.  It’s filled with a ton of ideas that you can use in order to cook the meals you want, quick.

Take a look at 30 minute meals - Have you ever watched Food Network?  If you have, you may have heard of the show 30 minute meals.  Even if you haven’t, there’s a great website online dedicated to everyone that wants to cook meals fast, and easy.

Browse AllRecipes.com – A favorite site of mine is AllRecipes.com.  I love this site because I’m able to search just about anything.  If you’re looking for dinners in an instant, be sure to browse their Quick and Easy section.  Here, you’ll be able to find everything from grilling, to 15 minute meals.

Recipes are all over the web, and whether you want a book, or just the Internet, there are countless ideas on what you can make.  Try out some of the recipes online, and see how much money you can save, compared to the cafeteria, and restaurants.
