It’s almost fall time, and you know what that means!  It’s time to get ready for both college, and pro football.  The reason that I love football is because I can track more than just my favorite team, and have fun with it at the same time.  It’s also great to get some friends together, and have a friendly bet.

If you haven’t tried fantasy football before, I suggest you try this year, and this is why, but before you start, make sure you look into free services such as Yahoo’s fantasy football program, or ESPN‘s.

Fun way to keep track of football

Some people love to watch football all the time, but some of us get bored at the same time.  I found that when I signed up for fantasy football online, I was more into the game.  I liked watching other teams, and I would constantly monitor programs such as Sports Center and halftime shows for my player’s updates.

Great way to have fun with friends

If you have some friends that are into football, get them to sign up in a league.  You all don’t have to know football by heart, but know how the program works.  The stats alone can give you a good idea on who’s good, and who’s not.

Try and make a fun wager

If you have 10-15 friends, get them together, and ask them all to place a friendly wager.  Let’s say you all throw in $10 each, that’s a nice $100 prize at the end of the year to the top winner.  This will make the game even more interesting.

Fantasy football makes a lot of sense if you’re into games, and you like having fun online.  It’s a great way to burn time, and makes watching sports a lot more enjoyable.  Once again, if interested, try either Yahoo! or ESPN‘s programs.  They are both 100% free to join, and you have nothing to lose!
