College Graduation Thank You Cards
posted by FindCollegeCards.com
Ah, it’s May and that means that many of you are getting close to graduation or maybe you already have, I guess it all comes down to your college. When it comes time for graduation, you’re going to find that many of your relatives or friends are going to get you either money or a simple gift to express how happy they are for you.
Since we don’t want to be mean and not send anything in return to show your gratitude, it’s important that you ship off a small thank you letter. It’s always something small but it will show that you truly care. The question will can address today is on how you can write a simple thank you card for graduation.
Thank you cards should really come from the heart. Let the recipient know how you feel. Instead of writing “Thank you for the gift.” and with your name signed at the bottom, try something like this:
Dear Aunt Mary and Uncle Bob:
Thank you so much for the gift of cash that you gave me at my graduation. As I graduate and move on with life, I will be able to use this money for many things such as financing my new furniture, my car and even my rent, so that I can be closer to work! I will be sure to keep in touch as time goes on.
Tom
Something like this sounds a lot more personable than just a simple “Thank You.” Remember, it’s always the thought that counts.
Another thing to keep in mind when writing your thank you cards is that you should write them out by hand rather than type them on the computer. Writing it by hand shows that you took the time to write and express your thoughts rather than type away on a word processor.
In the end, just write on how you feel. A recipient of your letter can always tell if you’re truly sincere. Just always remember for the future that when you do receive a gift, make sure you express your gratitude.
