With fall now approaching us, college students find themselves inside the house now with not a whole lot to do. After studying and eating is done, some people just find themselves sitting around watching TV and playing video games, something they don’t really want to do. With every college varying when it comes to activities, I’ll give you some ideas on what you can do to keep yourself entertained after class:
Flag football – If you’re a fan of sports, you may want to see if your college is offering some flag football leagues. You can usually find activities like this around the campus on bulletin boards. Flag football is a great way to get some friends around and play an innocent game of football. Fall is the season for football.
Soccer – Another great league to get into is an adult soccer league. The reason fall is a great season to play is because of the weather alone. Sometimes, people find it’s too hard to play in the summer because of the heat. This is why the fall is a great time to sign up for sports.
Volleyball - Believe it not, when people think of volleyball, they think it’s a 90 degree beach sport that can only be played in hot weather but there are actually a lot of leagues going on in the fall for volleyball. If you’re a fan of volleyball and you don’t think it’s played in the fall, you’re wrong! Check out your campus for more details.
Hockey – Even though hockey can’t be played outdoors in the fall, you can still find leagues that have indoor leagues. If you’re looking for something outside, you probably won’t want to go this route but if you’re a fan of hockey, you may want to join a league to keep yourself entertained.
I looked at other colleges and here’s what they had to offer as well –
- Cycling club
- Climbing wall
- Fencing
- Equestrian
- Figure Skating
- Cricket
- Karate
- Rugby
- Sailing
- Triathlon
- Water Polo
- Archery
- Frisbee
- Swim
- Dodgeball
- Chess
Every college varies when it comes to college activities for the fall. If you’re not a fan of sports, you may want to look into the different clubs your college has to offer. There are activities out there for everyone, no matter what your interests are. Don’t be discouraged if you can’t find anything.
