Are you attending college in your near future and as of now it’s completely foreign to you?  Or have you only been taking online classes and aren’t sure what campus classes are like?  Campus classes are completely different from online classes if that’s all you’ve been taking.  Find out everything you need to know about taking an at campus class.

Atmosphere – The atmosphere at campus is similar to high school.  Although it’s like high school, the people in your class aren’t half as immature as those in high school.  The atmopshere is a little bit different especially if you have to walk around the school to go to class.  Some colleges are just one big building, and some are different building for different subjects. 

Professors – The professors are just like the teachers at your high school but a little bit more harsh.  Since you have to pay for college they expect you to be willing to learn and to give it all you’ve got.  College is very expensive and they don’t want to see you failing and not coming to class.  The personality really depends on the person though of course.

Students – Most of the students will be younger between 18-23 usually, although there are some older adults also.  College is a great way to make friends.  Everyone is there to learn and once you decide what you want to major in you will notice a lot of the same people in your classes.  This makes it easy to make friends and have study buddies.  It’s great when you find someone who wants to do what you want to do because that means you have a lot in common and can help each other out.

Assignments – You college professor will assign homework just like your teachers did in high school, just a lot more at a time.  I was surprised how much when I started my first year.  There is a lot of reading and just handouts to finish.

Quizzes, tests and exams – A lot of the time your professors will be tricky and give you pop quizzes so you need to make sure you are on your toes at all times.  The tests are all different depending on what your teacher is like, you will usually get an idea after the first one.  Exams can be a bit tricky but they are also similar to the ones in high school.  Although they are similar it’s usually harder and you need to study even more.
