College students who select to attend a college that provides clinical training are richly rewarded with many experiences. The New York College of Health Professions offer training in alternative medicine. Today many people are more interested in the “Holistic” type of treatment instead of the age old drug and run cures. We tend to concentrate on our diets, our exercise routines and taking of herbals for any illness. Other medical colleges are starting to realize this factor and are starting to teach our new physicians more about “Holistic” treatments.

It is very positive when you see the medical field now using the things that our ancestors used in order to help us have better health. College students are using “Holistic” cures for their own treatment for a variety of reasons. At the college they have a commitment to “Holism” which permeates every aspect of student life. The college student not only learns about the treatments but can experience first-hand the therapies and treatments that are a part of their clinical training. The student body has access to a “Holistic” café offering fruits and vegetables along with herbs to help maintain good health. The bookstore excels in books on “Holistic” herbs. Needless to say all students have access to the Herbal Dispensary for any health issues or preventative health measure.

The college has become well known for its excellent in providing the complete “Holistic” studies and providing a full campus of alternative methods to health care. Other colleges are now starting to model their campus after the New York College of Health Professions. This is indeed an honor for the school and a great advantage for the students. The government is recognizing the importance of training the medical profession about “Holistic” health care. The student benefits because when the government recognizes this type of training then more scholarships and grants become available. We all understand that going to college no matter where is a costly expense. The student who takes “Holistic” training them not only graduates as a physician but also carry the title of a DO. When they start their practice in the community the people realize that they not only have a practicing physician in their midst but a practicing “Holistic” counselor who will help them with preventative health care. It is always better to take preventative steps rather than to wait and try to cure an illness. Clinical training for the average college student has expanded into alternative training in “Holistic” methods as well.
