We all love to save money as a college student, right? Well since most of us have to eat and we all want to save money, I’m going to show you some cool tips that you can use in order to get the cheapest food around so that you never have to pay full price again.
Sign up for the e-mail list
No matter where you eat, always go to that restaurant’s website because I can almost guarantee you that they will give you a free gift just for signing up for an e-mail. Sometimes you’ll get a free desert, appetizer or even a free meal. This isn’t a one time thing either because they will continue to send you deals, even on your birthday!
Get the entertainment book
The entertainment book is amazing when it comes to saving money. You can save $100s a year if you use it right. Not only can you save on food, you can save money on other things like sporting events, bowling and more. An entertainment book usually costs around $20 but I find if I use at least 3 coupons, it covers the cost.
Check your local paper
In my area, I’ll get little coupon books and newspapers every week. If you get one in your mailbox, don’t toss it but rather look in it for deals. Every week, I’ll see coupons for buy 1 get one free and more. A lot of the smaller restaurants will want to get you in somehow in order to try their foods. Look at these little books in your local paper for great deals.
Try out CampusFood
If you live on campus, you may want to try out a service called CampusFood. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a food delivery service that allows you to order online. If you want to save using this service, try out their facebook application in which you can play games and win money for your next food purchase. It’s a win-win for all.
Saving money as a college student should be your number one goal when ordering online or eating in person. Try out some of these tips in order to save on your next food purchase.
