If you’re currently in college, you’re probably used to that same routine you have.  It’s typical for a college student to get up, go to school, do homework, go to work, etc.  Where is the fun in college?  Often so many college students are used to doing homework or working that in their spare time it feels like they’ve lost all their hobbies.  If you’re a college student that needs some hobbies or fun things to do, continue to read below.  Set some time aside to do those things you love again.

Sports - Try playing your favorite sports again.  When we’re little it seems like our biggest memory was when we were playing our favorite sports outside all day.  Get some friends together, set up a sports team and have some fun!  Getting exercise as a college student is very important and is a huge fighter against stress!

Relax - Go to your nearest coffee shop or bookstore and just take some time to relax.  When in college, life can be pretty stressful.  We’re constantly thinking about what homework needs to be done, guessing what we got on our last assignment, and what chores need to be done next.  This is common but don’t let it take over your life.  Take some time to just sit back and relax!  Grab a book, get a coffee and read something that interests you.

Gym - Try getting a gym membership with some of your friends.  Often when the winter weather heads our way we get couped up in the house and need to get out for a bit.  Getting out of the house, exercising and hanging out with friends is important, so consider a gym membership.  Do this a couple days a week and you’ll see how much stress is lifted off your shoulders!  Now this is a healthy hobby!

Park - Go to your local metro park and make a day of it!  Get your bike, rollerblades, bathing suit, picnic basket, or whatever you wish.  Spend the day alone or bring some friends along.

Movies - When was the last time you went to the movies?  If it’s been a while, have a fun night and go see a movie.  Bring along your boyfriend/girlfriend, friends or family member and see a showing.

Club/class - Look for some clubs or classes in your area that you may be interested in.  Whether you go to a scrap booking class, karate class, swimming, anything.  Try something you’ve never tried before and have fun with it!

There are many fun hobbies out there for college students!  If you’re looking for something to do, consider the tips above or just make more time for friends and family.  It is very important that you have fun while in college.  Repetitive, hard and boring routines call for too much stress and unhealthy lifestyles.

A lot of schools today, require their students to take a foreign language.  Foreign languages are great because they open up students to other cultures, foreign countries and give students the opportunity to learn something new.  Learning a foreign language is a great way to improve your memorization skills, learn even more about English (surprisingly), and everything about putting a sentence together.  Although a foreign language is a great thing to learn, most students don’t enjoy them because they find them too challenging.  Learning a foreign language can be very rewarding for your future and can be fun to learn.  How can it be fun to learn?  Read below and find out how the Nintendo DS is used to learn foreign languages.

When you get the Nintendo DS system you are giving yourself the opportunity to learn Spanish with “My Spanish Coach“, Japanese with “My Japanese Coach“, Chinese with “My Chinese Coach“, and French with “My French Coach“. These are all great games that will give you the opportunity to learn the language in a fun way and easier way.  These games simply run by memorization, learning of new words, sentence structure, and real life speaking skills.  Stop listening to boring lectures and learn the fun way with the Nintendo DS!  There are many different games to help you learn the language, quizzes, and fun little lectures as well!

If you’re looking for German, Arabic, and any other major language there is hope for them in the future.  The companies seem to be working hard to release the newest languages for the Nintendo DS.

Also, if you’re looking to just improve on your English skills, “My Word Coach” is an excellent game!  It helps with learning new words, how to use them in a sentence and the meaning of them.  It is all about memorization and broadening your vocabulary even more!

It is safe to say that most video game systems are usually looked down on by parents.  Although, most video games aren’t educational, there is one system that has been helping students out tremendously.   If you’ve never seen the Nintendo DS or played it, you’re missing out!  The Nintendo DS has a lot of great games that are educational, and can really teach students a lot!  How exactly are they helping children?  Read below and see the many benefits of a Nintendo DS.

Foreign Language Games - By most schools, taking a foreign language class is mandatory.  The rules are getting stricter and more is being expected of our students.  Foreign languages are known to be one of the hardest subjects and the classes that most kids don’t have an interest in.  How can we change that?  The Nintendo DS has many foreign language games that help students.  They go step by step so children can learn the language easily.  They also learn the language by playing games not just by a boring lecture.

Math Skills - Math seems to be another language that is harder for children to pick up and learn.  With the Nintendo DS, there are many great math games.  If you’re looking for a great math game, check out Brain Age I, II & III.  You can also check out the game “Learn Math”.  Both games help you develop quick math skills and also help with memorization.

Language Arts - Another thing that students have a hard time with is vocabulary.  There are so many words in the English language that students get stuck on.  They don’t know the meanings which can really hurt their language arts skills in school.  If you’re looking for a great vocabulary game, be sure to check out “My Word Coach”.  It is an excellent way to learn new vocabulary and their meanings.

As you can see there are some great educational games for the Nintendo DS.  If you’re looking to become better at a subject, be sure to check out these games!
