Finally the semester ended and it’s time to go back home for the summer.  Since it’s summer and you’re away from your school work, now is a good time to bring in some cash.   Whether you need some gas money, some spending cash, or money for school there is a job that can give you hand with that.  You may be wondering what a jobs would be good for a college student for the summer?  Below is a list of summer jobs for college students.

For the ladies:

  1. Being a waitress is a great way to earn some fast cash.  Not only do you get your money at the end of the day, but it’s a great way to make some new friends.
  2. Babysitting is great if you love kids.  Not only do you not have to go into work but you get to stay home or go to someones house and play all day.  If you’re great with kids this is something you should consider!
  3. A paid internship.  This is great because you get experience in the field that you’re going into ahead of time.  This will also give you a chance to learn some extra pointers from the pros.
  4. Clothing and accessory stores at the mall.  This is great for you ladies.  Not only do you get to see the cute stuff that comes in, you get paid for it.
  5. If you like interacting with people you might like cashiering.  Cashiers usually start out at a good wage.  This lets you interact with people while still getting paid.

For the gentlemen:

  1. If you like outdoors you might like working at a metro park.  There are jobs from construction, to lawn mowing and maintenance.  This job is great because you are still outside enjoying the weather.

  3. Being a painter is also fun.  If you like painting and fixing up places inside and out this job would be great for you.

  5. A job at the mall.  Pick a store that you love to shop in or have a passion for and try applying!  Say you like video games, Game Stop would be a great place to work for you!

Finding a summer job as a college student really isn’t all that hard.  You just have to find some of your interests and apply them to looking for a job.  A job can be more fun than you think!  Just remember to find something that suits you best.
